Goals

The study for 2004-2005 revolves around issues of the future. We will be studying over 30 different words from Hebrew and Greek and we will examine the history of some of these words from a Hebraic as well as Christian perspective. We will look at writings that date before the birth of Yeshua and writings of the Church Fathers dating several centuries after. We will even briefly look at the Greek classics that date six centuries before the creation of the New Testament.

We will re-translate verses in both testaments, read several scholarly writings, master the Greek and Hebrew alphabets, and that’s just in the first month! Not really just the first month, but there will be lofty goals and each person can fulfill that which they have time and ability to do.

Every month it will be recommended that you visit a well-stocked library and spend 2 or 3 hours there. We will recommend reading a new book every other month (we will make recommendations for you). When you finish this study, we hope that you will feel that you have advanced in your own Bible study skills and we see this as only a plus.

1 Thessalonians 5:21

Test everything: Grasp a hold of that which is true.
